Ardrey Kell players to watch for and some comments from Kell Coach Bagwell as teams and fans head toward SEG tonight

Ardrey Kell at Southeast Guilford tonight(NCHSAA Baseball) at 7pm and here are a few players from Kell and some of the key numbers that Kell will carry into SEG this evening….

Ardrey Kell baseball coach Hal Bagwell said this is his favorite time of year. His fifth-year team reached the state final in 2008 and won the championship in 2009. Among the favorites to win last season, the Knights lost 3-0 to East Forsyth in the second round of the playoffs.

Bagwell said last season’s stumble has made this year’s group more focused.

“I don’t want to sound like a broken record,” he said, “but this is what you play for. We set out to win state championships.

“We’re not surprised we’re here. We’re glad and we’re thankful, but I think this team is as hungry as any team I’ve ever had. We’re as confident as we’ve been.

“It’s all coming together pretty well.”

  1. SEG will plow through this team like a hot knife through butter. No way can the purple nights stand up to the Falcons’ Tobias, and company.

  2. too bad Tobias cant hit a 90 mph fastball. Big Daddy reader owned tobias on inside fastballs. Sorry about it
