Greg Little shows Big support for UNC football coach Butch Davis, plus Little explains parking tickets and other discrepancies

Sometimes this whole UNC Football Investigation series has come across like a scene from one of those old Hogan’s Heroes television shows, with Sergeant Schultz in the lead role, with his famous slogan of “I know nothing, I know nothing”….Or maybe Hulk Hogan in one of those Vince McMahon steroid trials with the same catchphrase of, “I know nothing, I know nothing”…..Here is the latest, in a long string of events, that has kept this Investigation stirring now for about a year and we are no more closer to the NCAA clearing this matter up, than we were in August of 2010….We need to bring in Al Green to start singing, “I can see clearly now”…..Or maybe bring on that other tune that says, “Love takes time, probably yours and mine”, and I’d love to see this Investigation reach a resolution……Sometimes the build-up is much bigger than the main event/production, but in this case today, Greg Little is here to say a lot…..Here we go, as you read below and let me know, if we need to go slow, or just throw this whole Investigation under the bus and head on back to the schoolhouse….Right On/Read On!!!

from www.wralsportsfan.com:

Greg Little(Durham Hillside HS) is quick to throw his support behind Tar Heels head coach Butch Davis, saying that he should undoubtedly keep his job, he never even knew of any student-athlete misdeeds and the blame lies solely on the players.

“He did nothing wrong,” Little said. “If you send your child out to the movies but he goes to a party, you don’t have control after you step out of the picture. He had nothing to do with anything that went on. It was all me and Marvin’s (Austin) ill-advised mistakes.”

More on Sergeant Scultz, from the Hogan’s Heroes program by way of Wikipedia:
Schultz is a basically good-hearted man who, when confronted by evidence of the prisoners’ covert activities, will simply look the other way, repeating “I hear nothing, I see nothing, I know nothing!” (or, more commonly as the series went on, simply “I see nothing–NOTHING!”) to avoid being blamed for allowing things to have gotten as far as they already had—which might see him given a one-way trip to the Eastern Front.

  1. Maybe UNC ought to give Butch Davis a raise to make up for what everyone has put him through. I see Carolina praising itself for its integrity in dealing with its own lack of integrity again. I wonder where the Davis family tutor got all that money to pay those football players’ parking tickets.

Johnny Nash sang “I Can See Clearly Now,” not Al Green.

  2. Maybe Al Green did that tune, “God didn’t make no little Green Apples”, cause somebody is singing the Blues around here or was it, the popular diddy, “I’m so tired of being alone”, that made Al see the green?

  3. Greg Little has about as much credibility as former Representative Weiner.
