A “Shout Out” today to one of the ACC Legends, Bob Harris Duke University football and basketball

He isn’t going anywhere, but for what he has done for the people/fans in Durham and in and around the Duke Blue Devil Nation, we need to give a “Shout Out” today, to Bob Harris, the play-by-play voice of Duke University football and basketball, as another season(2011-2012) is right around the corner…..Woody Durham(UNC Tar Heels) won’t be there this year, but Bob Harris will carry on the tradition that tells us, many a great voice has come rolling out from the little town of Albemarle, North Carolina over the years and Bob and Woody both, are a true testament to that adage….(Bob and Woody both being from Albemarle, N.C.)

A “Shout Out” today, as the ACC Football Season for 2011 draws near…..

For 35 years, the ‘Voice of the Duke Blue Devils’ and the eyes of Duke sports
fans around the world. He has called all 4 Duke NCAA basketball title wins -How Sweet It Is!

Looking forward to another ACC season invloving Duke Blue Devil Sports with Bob Harris…..Bob Harris, Wes Chesson and Anthony Dilweg will have all the action for you, on the Duke Blue Devil/IMG College Network…..

  1. Bob Harris, like Ali and Gleason, is the Greatest. In a “media” filled with Chapel Hill Journalism School graduates who think ties go to the Tar Heels, Bob Harris never fails to stand up for what is right.

Hey, Andy, is the Duke Football and Basketball radio network returning to 98.3 again this fall?

  2. Maybe we can say with Bob and Woody coming to the ACC from Albemarle, that is how the term, “Albemarle Sound” came around……(Two unrelated areas, but sounds the same and sounds like a good theory.)……

Bob is now following us here at the site on Twitter and it is good to have him on board….I will do some checking on the 98.3 LaRaza and see if Duke will be coming our way from South of the Border again this season on 98.3 FM……Muy Bueno…….

  3. The radio page at GoDuke.com has not been updated…..They are still listing ISP as the majour network provider and it is now owned by IMG College….98.3 is still listed as the affiliate for Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem and the overall read says you can gett all the games at GoDuke.com….

Radio broadcasts on the Duke ISP Sports Network can be heard on a network of stations across the state of North Carolina and on GoDuke.com.
