TE Jeremy Shockey tackles tenderloin and saves Panther teammate’s life

Carolina Panther Jeremy Shockey has made a career as being a difference maker on the football field.

But now the tight end’s quick thinking is being credited with saving a teammate.

Shockey is credited with helping save fellow tight Ben Hartshock from choking in the team’s lunch room on Monday.

A piece of pork tenderloin lodged in Hartsock’s throat and Shockey came to his rescue. Hartsock tried drinking water to clear his throat and when that didn’t work it became a serious situation.
