Recalling the Rangers(Texas Rangers)

Fun watching this year’s team(the Texas Rangers) go for the Series again, with great guys like Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton, Ian Kinsler, Mike Napoli, Adrian Beltre, Michael Young, Elvis Andrus and many others, but what about all that talent that was in Texas, before this current club made it all the way back to the World Series, to face the Cardinals for the crown jewel of baseball….

Back in the day what about:
Jim Sundberg(C)
David Clyde(18 year-old Texas HS phenom pitcher)
Ivan “Pudge’ Rodriguez(C)
Juan Gonzales(OF)
Rubin Siera(OF)
Julio Franco(2B/SS)
Sammy Sosa(OF)
Alex Rodriguez(SS/3B)
Rusty Greer(OF)
Jeff Burroughs(OF)
Mike Hargrove[1B](Burroughs-AL MVP and Hargrove-AL Rookie of the Year….Same Year/Season)
Toby Harrah(SS)
Frank Catalanotta(OF)
Fernando Tatis(SS)
Billy Martin(manager)
Johnny Oates(manager)
Chuck Norris(honorary member)

*****There has been some very good talent to come through Texas, since they moved to Arlington, from Washington, D.C. back in the early 70’s….More talent has come and gone, than most fans would like to admit…..*****
