Lungs For Lee is proud to announce the Lungs For Lee Bazaar, a multi-faceted
event for the whole family! Join us for a huge community yard sale, arts &
crafts, live music, food, face painting and fun. The bazaar will take place
from *10 am to 4 pm on Saturday November 5* at the Greenspace on the 400
block of East Lake Drive in Greensboro.
All proceeds from the bazaar will benefit Lungs For Lee, a charity created
for Lee Wallace. Lee is a local musician and animal rights advocate who is
suffering from Pulmonary Fibrosis and awaiting a double lung transplant at
the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Lee and his wife are required
to uproot their lives here in Greensboro to relocate to Pennsylvania so that
Lee can be immediately available when donor lungs become available for him.
He must then stay for two months of post-operative therapy. The Greensboro
community is raising funds to assist Lee and his wife with the expenses from
this move. 100% of the funds raised by Lungs For Lee go directly to pay
these living expenses in Pittsburgh.
To donate items that can be sold at the yard sale, volunteer, or find out
more about Lee or about Pulmonary Fibrosis, please contact Scott Hicks or
Laura Burkehart at LungsforLee@gmail.com.
