Page Pirates ready to go for 4-AA State Championship Today

Kickoff is just hours away and the Page Pirates will be taking on the Garner Trojans at 3pm at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem….

Page coming in at (14-0) and Garner at (15-0)…..We will have the radio version of the game for you on AM950, with our pre-game beginning at around 2:30pm…..You can also catch the game at www.wpetam950.com….

AM950 has a very good daytime signal and you should be to capture radio on the go throughout most of the Triad today if you are out and about and with the daylight hours signal should be strong….

The first time I saw James Summers and Drew Rogers playing football was on Labor Day Monday 2008 in Page JV game versus Northeast Guilford at PAGE….Will see them together in a PAGE uniform together for the last time today……

Page will see a lot of Juwan Moye and Demetrious Fairley from Garner, as those two are very tough back and the Garner QB Vince Jeffries is not two shabby, he threw for three touchdowns in the win by Garner over Jack Britt last Friday night….(34-27 at Garner)

I had a piece up here earlier during the playoffs and I think it was just before the Matthews Butler game and it read, “Eleven Reasons Why the Page Pirates can beat Butler’ and they not only beat Butler, they beat the Mighty Maverick of Mallard Creek too….

Those 11 reason and you need this again today…..
Debo Brooks
Shaun Workinger
Jacob Green
Blake Hickman
Christian Cranford
Evan Roer
Grant Brewer
Ed Britt
Savon Wall
Will Henry
Carter Stanley

Add in Jonathan Lynch as a plus and you have that PAGE Pirate defense ready to play and take down the Garner Trojans….

If James Summers gets his running game going early and James moves that ball around to Morrison, Greene, Spain as welll as primary target Hatfield, Page will be busy, but they should be ready to produce a victory….Drew Rogers will be a big key cause he can take some of the pressure off of Summers and his runs, but James loves to run and we love to watch him run and do his thing…D

Don’t forget the importance of kicker Ryan Jackson and he will be a factor…Talk to you again later tonight, after a busy weekend of high school football…
