Greensboro Day School Bengals vs. UNC JV’s in a scrimmage game tonight in Chapel Hill….The UNC JV’s feature former Greensboro Day School Bengal Christian Pulliam and Pulliam is a starting guard for the Tar Heels…..
This is only a scrimmage game, but it should be fun for the Bengals to go at it with the Tar Heel JV’s, in the Smith Center and the Dudley Panthers faced the Tar Heel JV’s back in November and Sam Hunt lit up the Heels to the tune of 36 points…..Dudley dropped the game by about 10-11 points, but it was a great overall test and experience…
Who will be the hot hand for the Bengals tonight? Will Reed Lucas light it up from outside? Will JT Terry impose his will on the Tar Heels? Does Reggie Dillard take his game that he fined tuned back in his days at Allen Middle School into the Dean Dome and teach those Heels a thing or two? Will Jalen Ross run the floor like a minature Phil Ford or will he turn out to be more like a modern-day Kendall Marshall?
Should be a lot of fun and we’ll see if the Bengals want to run on the Tar Babies….They used to call the Norrth Carolina Tar Heel freshman team the Tar Babies many years/moons ago….Freshman basketball used to sell out the arenas back in the days when there was no freshman eligibility….But that is a different topic for a different time…..Wow, there were some great freshman names back in those days…
