Carolina Panthers 23

Halftime:
Carolina Panthers 23
Atlanta Falcons 7

Highlights….DeAngelo Williams with his 78-yard touchdown run for Panthers…Steve Smith goes over the 10,000 yard receiving mark for his career, with a key catch/reception in the first half at BoA Stadium….Armanti Edwards still trying to advance a punt return more than 8.5 yards….He must have had 10 chances in the first half, including the return of a punt after the Falcons were tagged with a safety….Eugene Robinson telling us repeatedly on the radio broadcast that we all must catch a pass with our hands and not use our bodies….”Passes must be caught with your hands”, said Robinson after a Brandon LaFell reception…..I would always use my body to help collect the ball and that way, I was able to make sure that the pass would stick….Eugene knows and I guess that is that, unless you are fullback and you are about to get hit by a 260 pound linebacker in the open field….Give me a break, catch the pass with your body and then bowl the defender over…You must be able to use your body to establish major contact for those head-on collisions…..In the open field for wideouts it may be different, but in the tight quarters, use your body for the sure catch……Nothing like a true or extreme difference of opinion…..
