Savon was here last night filling out some of his applications and we kept ribbing him about his “slicky, sticky fingers” while at work. He got a laugh out of your article. They DO read the articles and love it when you mention their names.

Another thing…I picked up my favorite 11 year old the other day. As soon as he got in the car, he said “I told the kids in my class that I know some of the Page Pirate football players and they are my friends on face book.” Most of the kids didn’t believe him until he pulled up facebook to show them that Devonta, James, Drew, Orlando, Blake, Shaun, and Debo and a few others were indeed his friends. he looked at me and said “Now, I’m the coolest kid in the 6th grade. Each of them do know this kid and even though I think an 11 year old is too young to have an account, I thought it was nice of these young men to “friend” him and make comments to him such as “stay in school and get good grades”.

These Page Pirates are indeed a special bunch!

  2. 2 interceptions are better than 5TDs? Wow that’s pretty amazing!! It’s all good. TJ Logan will get his just do. Congrads to the Pirates on a fine season. To Northern you have gone done something knowone expected and that’s winning back to back state championships in three years conference play. It was overshawoded by Page’s success. At the end of the day, the Nighthawks are the kings of the heel representing Guilford County unless the Pirates can repeat next year. Good luck to both teams as next year’s matchup @ the NEST should be played infront of a packed house. 4AA vs 2time 3AA state champions!!!! See y’all there……….
