(GREENSBORO, N.C.) — Sophomore Pride women’s soccer player, Sarah Lang, was recognized on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region Third Team. She adds the honors to her First Team All-USA South selection in November.
A native of Greensboro, NC, Lang helped lead The Pride to an overall record of 11-6-1, with a 6-2-1 record in conference play. Starting all 18 games, she led the team in goals with 14 and points with 31. For the season, she tallied 84 total shots, with 50 coming on goal and finished the season with three game winning scores.
Lang’s stand-out campaign landed her a spot atop four categories in the school record book. She broke records for most shots attempted in a season (84), most shots on goal in a season (50), highest shots on goal per game average in a season (2.78), and tied the career mark for most game winning goals (9).
