It was an early conference matchup between the visiting Cowboys of Swouthwest and
the Mustangs of Parkland. The Cowboys were coming off their first loss of the season
and was looking for a strong start to conference play. After a lackluster
performance at Northeast, the Cowboys came out very strong jumping to a very quick
21-4 lead. And the gas stayed pushed down as the first quarter ended with the score
32-8. The Mustangs played with pride as they fought basket for basket in the second
as the halftime score was at 51-26. The second half saw the same theme, a barrage of
3’s and 3 point plays. Not the sharpest of performances but Southwest got back to
their fast paced style and got up and down the floor well. A 3 pointer just before
the buzzer by the Mustangs nocked the finally tally to 91-63. Parkland was lead by
Kier Hardin, Jacob Thomas, Deshaywn Middleton, and Antione Seemion with 12,11,11,
and 10 points respectively. The Cowboys were spearheaded by the likes of Terrell
Leach (27), Jordan Hanner (19), Brandon Clyburn (11), and Anton Morgan (10).
