Greensboro College men(9-4/2-0) win this evening and Pride women fall to Ferrum(Pride men whip favored Wesleyan)

The Pride men’s basketball team knocked off preseason USA South favorite
North Carolina Wesleyan at home, 89-77, to improve to 9-4 overall and 2-0
in the conference. Damian Dixon finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds to
lead four Greensboro players in double figures scoring. The Pride will
next be in action at home on Monday against Allen at 7:30 p.m.

The #21 nationally ranked women’s basketball team lost at Ferrum, 81-69, to
drop into a three-way tie for first in the USA South. Andrienne Terrell
had a team high 19 points to lead four players in double figures scoring.
The Pride will be at home on Monday against the other conference leader,
Christopher Newport at 2 p.m. followed by a home bout with #20 nationally
ranked Piedmont on Monday.
