We don’t often talk tech here; but there’s an Internet Hoax that is being sent out locally to our coaches and families. Basically, it is an Internet Version of a Chain Letter; but in this case, the Money is coming from AOL and Microsoft.
For those who have a business background, you would already know; both these companies aren’t in any position to be handing out cash these days. Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda, retired from Microsoft many years ago and currently distribute their fortune via their charitable foundation. AOL hasn’t been a Internet powerhouse for years, ever hear of Google, Facebook or Apple?
Anyway the letter says it was on “Good Morning America”. WHERE? Today, the entire show is available to watch on the Internet (except the advertising); so if it was on ABC, there should be a LINK to the video.
Also the letter says it was in Tuesday’s USA TODAY. WHEN, WHERE?? USA Today is also on the Internet and an article that was 2 full pages (and was not an advertisement) would be featured on the website as well.
FINALLY, any real “deal” always has a deadline!
