Congratulations New Garden Friends School Bears, on the opening of your new gymansium and we need to start seeing the Bears send at least two players per year to Tom Palumbo’s Quaker program, at Guilford College….This has to be a master plan…..Use NGFS as a feeder school for Guilford College and their basketball programs…..Best idea that I have heard in a long time and I came up with it all by myself….I’ll let you know when I get some more real brainy ideas…..I have to look out for Guilford College…My grandfather attended school there as a day-student, traveling in each day to the college by horseback, back in the mid, to late 1800’s…….

New Garden Friends School is opening its new gymnasium with girls and boys basketball games against Greensboro Day School on Saturday. The New Garden girls host the GDS junior varsity girls team at 3 p.m. The varsity boys teams play at 5 p.m.
The gym, which seats between 450 and 500 spectators, is part of the Quaker school’s new arts-athletic complex on Pleasant Ridge Road in Summerfield.
