Isenbarger Honored Following Career Week (Elon MBB)

ELON, N.C. – Sophomore Jack Isenbarger caught the notice of the Southern Conference last week when the guard helped lead the Elon men’s basketball team to three straight victories with an average of 23.3 points, seven rebounds and 5.6 assists. Elon currently sits in first place in the North Division as the Phoenix gets set to road trip to Chattanooga and Samford at the end of the week.

The Phoenix opened with a double overtime, 99-98, win against College of Charleston last Thursday. Isenbarger started at the point guard position, filling in for ill teammate Austin Hamilton. He nailed 11-of-16 field goals, include five makes from beyond the arc. Isenbarger added another four assists and five boards to his totals.

Finally, on Monday evening, Elon ended a seven-game losing streak to Appalachian State with a dominating 82-59 victory over the Mountaineers. Isenbarger moved his double-figure scoring streak to seven straight with 11 points while contributing seven assists to only one turnover.

On the week, the Zionsville, Ind., native made 56 percent (22-of-39) of his field goal attempts, including a blistering 47 percent (9-of-19) from downtown. He was 17-of-19 from the charity stripe, had 17 assists and five steals.
