  1. Due to a lot of injuries Southwest is an underdog that will surprise teams in the State playoffs . Clyburn and Daye are a deadly duo inside and two of the most unselfish players around. Hanner delivers the outside threat that makes the Cowboys tough to defend. Kudos also to Southwest Coach Shavers for delivering the blueprint on how to defeat NW. NW’s game plan is to play good zone defense and force you to take bad 3-pt shots. The Cowboys countered the zone by provided tremendous ball pressure on the NW guards forcing a lot of turnovers. The Cowboys were then able to hold the ball outside and force NW out of their zone. NW is not good at man defense and have some players that take plays off of the defensive end. Credit though to NW on the offensive end as they dont miss ever no matter what defense you play. The key is beating their defense not their offense and Coach Shavers and the Boys showed the way. Good luck to SW vs East.

  2. This is an extremely weak conference from top to bottom. One and done in the state play-offs.
