  1. Score above is incorrect for the Chapel Hill game, although it is correct that Webb won. Hicks had 4 fouls in third quarter. Coach Williams attended. Game was within one or two points until last 4 mins.

  2. I see that in the girls bracket that Page lost to Mount Tabor 63-60.
Too bad, I was hoping Page would move on. Mount Tabor has a solid team but they are
even more solid when most of the calls go their way. I guess that is part of the advantage of
being a #1 seed. Not for sure if that was the case for Page but it was in the SEG game. I looked for
the SA score but could not find it. I hope they won, if they did they are the Metro’s only hope. I’m really
surprised that more of our teams did not advance farther, we have a very tough conference. Looking forward
to next year, its been fun.

  3. parity does not necessarily mean good. the metro 4a girls had a lot of paritiy, which made it a tough conference, but neither dudley or page were that much better than southern alamance and southeast; and dont forget that wg beat page.

all in all, it was a great year of ball, and cant wait till next year to see the local teams compete again…

  4. Congratulations to the Northern Nighthawk Mens Varsity team!!

They are the regular season champion.

They are the conference tournament champion.

They were on a 17 game winning streak which ended last night.

Coach Ryan Freeman is the conference coach of the year for the 2nd time in 3 years as coach (and he restored credibility to the program).

Congratulations to seniors Chandler, Downing, Markley, McBeth and Mullikinn!!

  5. give it a rest. if getting blown out by northeast gives your program credibility, that’s pretty weak!! We and NG arre in a weak conference, and the game last night proves it. Weren’t 4 of the players from last night dressed out for the championship run in 2009?

  6. I GUESS A WIN IS A WIN EVEN IF THE REFS HAD TO DO IT FOR YOU YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE WON IF NOT FOR THAT ,TAXES COME AT A GOOD TIME DON’T THEY?
