Wyndham Championship Tournament Director Mark Brazil issued the following
statement on the passing of Rich Brenner:
“Everyone on the Wyndham Championship staff is saddened by the tragic loss
of Rich Brenner, one of the Piedmont Triad’s iconic sports figures. Rich
understood the Wyndham Championship and its role in the Piedmont Triad
sports landscape, and he supported our PGA TOUR event before and after his
retirement. Our thoughts go out to his wife, Judy, and his children, Leslie
and Shaun. He was a dear friend to the tournament, and he will be sorely
missed.”
