‘Between the Lines’ with High School Baseball Today/Tonight

Dudley at High Point Central….Could well see Corey Kimber(Dudley) vs. Hanson Butler(HP Central)…5pm start at Bison Ballfield right behind/beside the school with Dilloway’s PA in the house….

Southern Guilford at Reidsville 5pm…Caleb Teetor was 1-2, with 1 run scored for SG on Tuesday in the Storm’s Opening Day game….

Graham at Northwest Guilford 7pm….NWG could go with Swim or Bellenkes, could be saving Haack for Friday night…

Western Guilford at Northeast Guilford 7pm….Hornets should have Marrero or Ahrens available and Tyler Parr got the win back on Monday at Morehead, while NEG is deep and they could go Johnny Wholestaff and give everybody an inning or two with Jaylin Davis, Caleb McCann, Josiel Colon, Matt Millaway or others…NEG at EG on Friday night…NEG has Jacob McCann(C/1B/LF) too and unsung hero is Jordan Brown for NEG, always ready and Cole Wyrick would be too…..John Iorio had five hits for WG in the win at Morehead back on Monday….

Don’t forget, WS Reagan at Glenn…Glenn is a team that everyone will be watching closely this season and we are hearing big things coming in about McMichael too…..Also South Stokes at Rockingham County…RC plays a lot of our area Mid-State 3-A teams….

  1. Hopefully we stay dry enough to get the game in. We open at home Friday with conference foe Page, so you won’t see Marrero on the hill tonight.

  2. Friday is going to be busy with PAGE at WG, NG at NWG, Grimsley at SEG and NEG at EG among others…..Could see Schofield, Marrero, Haack, Coltrane, Stoneman, SEG staff(Callahan can throw too), Davis, Gunn or others on Friday…..

  3. Hope Southern Guilford is headed to Reidsville ready to expect anything. The Rams were scheduled to play McMichael Monday afternoon in Mayodan (both JV and Varsity). JV team was dressed and ready, field was ready, and even the umpires were already on hand and somehow Reidsville missed the memo that there was a game to be played. What made it worse was a small clinic had been held in the community for the youth interested in playing baseball in high school and for those that attended, they received a ticket for free admission to the season opener which was supposed to be against guess who..Reidsville. Needless to say there were a few upset kids, frustrated players, and irritated parents. Best of luck to Southern.
