Southern Alamance at Southeast Guilford 7pm…Very big Metro 4-A matchup with SA coming off of 1-0 loss to Dudley and SEG will be at Dudley next Tuesday….Kimber should be ready…Dallas Newton should be ready for SEG tonight and if you had to stack up pitchers, Kimber(Dudley), Newton(SEG) and Keaton Haack(NWG) are three of the best in the entire state…Matt Orth at SWG is injured right now and can not go on the mound….Tried it the other night at WG and it would not work for him….Can play first base and hit fine, but pitching not working right now for Orth…Jaylin Davis at NEG sharp too…
Northwest Guilford at Southwest Guilford 7pm….SWG still had plenty of pitching at least 4-5 available and NWG might go with Jackson Bellenkes or Adam Swim….Haack went on Tuesday vs. Glenn and got the win….Very big early-season Piedmont Triad 4-A game here….
Eastern Guilford at Northern Guilford 6pm….Conference game in the Mid-State 3-A and EG feel to Morehead back on Tuesday and Northern got a big win vs. Eastern Alamance….Mid-State 3-A very balanced league with NG, EG, McMichael, Morehead, Williams, Eastern Alamance and Western Alamance…They all can play….
East Forsyth at Ragsdale 7pm….Caleb Edwards, I think it was threw that 6-0 no-hitter win for EF back on Tuesday vs. HP Central and they say that EF has at least two more pitchers as strong as Edwards….Ragsdale threw Horkey earlier in the week and we’ll see who the Tigers have up next….
Grimsley at Page 7pm….Both teams in must-win situations as they need this Metro 4-A Conference win tonight….Page may have Nic Schofield left and I know he pitched and hit a home run last Friday night vs. Western Guilford…Grimsley, not sure who is up next in the rotation….
Smith at Western Guilford 7pm….WG wants to take this one and with Smith at WG this week, Dudley comes to Western next Friday night….Nino Marrero may have some time built up in his arm if they need to start him tonight….Nino got the save at Grimsley back on Tuesday…
High Point Central at WS Reagan 6pm….Hanson Butler went for HPC back on Tuesday and tonight it should be time for Trevor Gay to take over….Kendrick Davis threw a few back on Tuesday, but will be handy if needed….

Add Matt Kaplan (WP) to the list of pitchers to watch. Outstanding performance tonight. Complete game for the lefty with 14Ks and 2 hits.
Corey McDaniel (LP) went the distance for EG, giving up 2 ER on 3 hits, 4 Ks and 5 BB.
NG loaded the bases in the first with one out on a couple of walks (DC Arendas, Luke Nelson) and an error by the left fielder, but couldn’t push a run across. In the second, Andrew Schneider drew a 1-out walk and Matt Page followed with a single. Sean Mas singled home Schneider and Page scored on an error by pitcher. Northern never threatened again except for a 1-out single by Trip Dunn in the 5th.
EG never got a runner to 3rd base, getting a 2-out single from McDaniel in the 4th and a 2-out single from Lashon Hedrick in the 5th. Kaplan recorded all 6 outs himself in the last two innings, striking out 5 in a row, then getting the final strikeout after back-to-back walks (the only BBs he issued).
