GREENSBORO, N.C. – Maggie Dew posted wins at first singles and second doubles in visiting Maryville College’s 5-4 tennis triumph at Guilford College Sunday.
Dew teamed with Kayla Lewis for an 8-2 win over Guilford’s Kim Kleimeier and Natalie Sutton. She later downed the Quakers’ Haley Andrews at first singles, 6-1, 6-4. Rachel Hutson overcame a first-set loss and pulled out a key second-singles win over Guilford’s Sutton, 1-6, 6-4, 10-5.
Dominique Crespo won twice for Guilford, taking the fourth-singles match with Lewis, 6-1, 6-3, and teaming with Adelaide Ayres for an 8-5 third doubles triumph.
Guilford is back in action Tuesday (3/13) against visiting Washington (Md.) College at 3:00 p.m.
