Lady Conquerors Capture 2nd Place in NACA Nationals

(Dayton, TN) The CBS Lady Conquerors ended a record-setting season one victory short of their second straight NACA Division V National Championship losing to Carolina Christian Academy 42-35 in the Championship Game in the Dayton Tennessee Tournament. The loss ends the CBS season at 29-4 a school record for victories. The Lady Conquerors win all five regular season tournaments entered.

Senior Megan Tuck was named Most Outstanding Offensive Player in the Tournament and All-Tournament. Junior Kristin Billingsley joined her on the All-Tournament Team.

Summary of Games:

Game One: CBS 46 Gabriel Christian Academy 32.
Megan Tuck scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Conquerors pulled away early for the win. Junior Megan Haskins added 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Game Two (Quarterfinals): CBS 39 Danville Christian Academy (KY) 10.
Megan Tuck added her second double/double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Megan Haskins followed up her excellent game one with a team high 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

Game Three (Semi-Finals): CBS 40 Mountain Top Christian (WI) 39.
The CBS Girls trailed the entire game until the last 1:30 of the contest before giving the 19-0 Cougars their first loss of the season. Tuck again added her third straight double/double with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Conquerors to the victory.

Game Four (Finals): CBS 35 Carolina Christian (NC) 42.
The Lady Conquerors season ends despite a well-played game against the 25-2 Lions. Megan Tuck ends her career with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Holly Billingsley adds 10 points before fouling out in the 4th Quarter.
