College Men’s Golf Results – Guilford Leads After First Day at Dataw Island

DATAW ISLAND, S.C. – Top-ranked Guilford College shot 309-318-627 in the first two rounds of the Taylor Made-adidas Intercollegiate Monday at the Dataw Island Golf Club Monday. The Quakers hold a 21-stroke lead over Hampden-Sydney College (325-323-648) in the eight-team field.

The teams found breezy and buggy conditions at the par-72, 6,799-yard Cotton Dike Course. Factor in hard greens and a challenging course and the Quakers shot well over their season stroke average (296.50) in both rounds.
