Isenbarger Honored as Men’s Basketball Player of the Month

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Elon sophomore Jack Isenbarger was selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Month for February, scoring in double figures in eight of Elon’s nine games and averaging 19.3 points per game last month.

Isenbarger helped Elon to a number two seed and a first-round bye in the Southern Conference Tournament with his performance in February. The guard dropped a career-high 34 points on 11-of-16 shooting while collecting five rebounds and dishing five assists in the Phoenix’s win over The Citadel. Isenbarger took on the point guard role for much of the month, opening with 25 points, six assists and six rebounds in Elon’s double overtime win against College of Charleston. The Zionsville, Ind., native also had a big night in the regular-season finale, netting 24 points on 6-of-9 from long range to help Elon sweep the season series against North Division champion UNCG.

Isenbarger shot 52 percent from the field and drained 30 treys in February. He averaged 3.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game during the last month of the regular season. He was recognized on the all-conference team and the all-tournament team at the league tournament.
