The Tar Heels were back in action tonight, easily putting Creighton away in the next-to-last Semifinal Regional Game in Greensboro tonight. The final score: North Carolina 87 – Creighton 73. The stands were full and hopefully a few of those folks stayed for the second game of the night. Carolina will play Ohio in St Louis next week.
NC State was also a BIG winner today as they beat Georgetown 66-63. The Wolfpack fans were coming out of the woodwork this afternoon at Kick-Back Jacks on Battleground, where the screaming was heard as far as Wendover, over the sounds of traffic, according to one (State) fan. State will play the winner of the Perdue/Kansas game (underway at this time) also in St. Louis. The Pack could face the Heels if both win their next games.
With these early scores, Mick and BarryO are tied for first place, with Tina Stutts in Third. The Stutts family is running 4th (Bobby) and 10th (Robert) as well. We’re lucky that Steffi wasn’t playing as they might sweep the top spots.
