Ragsdale Tigers get ‘Back on Track’ tonight

Ragsdale got back on track tonight, scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the
sixth to end the game with a 13 – 3 victory. Matt Horkey went the distance
for the Tigers to pick up the win and improve his record to 2 – 1. Senior
Mitch Carstens led the Tigers, going 3 for 5 with a triple and 4 RBI’s.
Sophomore Niko Orfanedes was also 3 for 5 and had 2 RBI’s. Sophomore Ben
Fischer was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Matt
Horkey, Kyle Morrison and Joe Pantuso all had two hits for the Tigers.

Parkland was led by Sean Henderson who went 2 for 3 with a double and an
RBI. Travis Graves and Alex Brunson also had doubles for the Mustangs.

With the win, Ragsdale improves to 7 – 3 and 4 – 2 in the Piedmont Triad
while Parkland falls to 0 – 6 in Conference play.

Ragsdale is at home on Wednesday to face Upper St. Claire HS from Pittsburgh
PA.
