Brittany Ziobro Sets Conference Record as Greensboro College Women’s Lacrosse Blanks NC Wesleyan, 20-0

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) — Brittany Ziobro set a USA South record with 13 points as The Pride women’s lacrosse team beat NC Wesleyan 20-0 on Thursday. Greensboro put 14 goals on the board in the first half and added six in the second half to cruise to victory.

Ziobro continued her stellar play with an impressive six goal, seven assist effort. In addition to setting a new conference mark, the total bested Ashle Nolen’s school record of 11 against North Carolina Wesleyan on April 3, 2010.

Melissa Gallaher chipped in with five goals, Nadya Fedun added four and Kayla Gonzalez tallied three. Micaela Sandoval also contributed three assists on the day. Tierra Lyles played all 60 minutes in goal, posting a shut-out.

The Pride held a commanding edge in shots (27-3), ground balls (18-7), and draw controls (18). Greensboro converted 14-14 clear attempts and forced 23 Bishop turnovers.

The Pride are now 4-7 overall on the season. Greensboro will host Ferrum on Tuesday, April 3 for Senior Day. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. on Pride Field.
