On the High School Softball Scene for Tonight with two ‘Really Big Games’ in NWG-SG and SEG-SA

Northwest Guilford at Southern Guilford 6pm….A non-conference game, but still one of the biggest games of the year….NWG headed down into the pines at SG, to take on the Storm and the NWG Vikings have been ‘HOT’, red-hot to be exact and can the Storm cool off the Vikings??? They may have to call in the Sedgefield-Pinecroft Fire Department to get that done…NWG has been doing an excellent job of putting the ball in play and SG will have to delay that type of play today, if they are to have a say in the way this one ends…BIG GAME with two of the TOP TEAMS in the County….

Southeast Guilford at Southern Alamance 6:30pm….Metro 4-A Conference game and last time it was tight at SEG….SA does not lose many games at home and this is their’s today at SA and if SEG is to be the one that gets the victory, the Falcons must call out Shepard, Shutt, McNeil and other key players this afternoon….They must get it done in a hostile environment in Graham….

Grimsley at Eastern Guilford 6:30pm….Whirlies will take on any chance they can get, to get another win in 2012 and this is very strong challenge today in Gibsonville….EG fell 14-4 to McMichael last night and the Wildcats are hungry and the Whirlies might be dinner at around 6:30 if they are not careful….Don’t want to end up with a load of Armentrout on your home plate, because they might be hard to swallow….We will follow this one close with Robert Stutts and Tim Teufel, along with George Hertzman on the ‘Softball Scene’…..

  1. Evan Edwards for SG has been on fire lately. No surprise as he has played on some of GBC best teams and this freshman clobbered some of the nations best pitchers. He has excelled at every age group and he will always be hammering the ball.
