The Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame is currently accepting
nominations for the Class of 2012. Nomination forms can be found online
at

ions or are obtained through the Greensboro Sports Commission at
336-378-4499. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
The Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame inducted their first class in
2005. The Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame is located in the Special
Events Center of the Greensboro Coliseum near the ACC Hall of Champions.
Former inductees include N.C State and Olympic Gold Medal Basketball
Coach Kay Yow, Olympic Gold Medalist Joey Cheek, Coach Bob Jamieson of
Grimsley, Coach Tony Simeon of High Point, Sportscaster Charlie
Harville, Legendary A&T Coaches Bill Hayes and Don Corbett, and Page
Star Tripp Welborne. A complete list of the members of the Guilford
