The Pride women’s tennis team was eliminated from the USA South Tournament on Friday in a 9-0 loss to Christopher Newport. Greensboro concludes the season with an overall record of 6-10.
The #5 seed Pride hung tough in the number one and three doubles positions but did not have enough fire power to hang with the #4 seed Captains.
Greensboro earned the #5 seed after completing the regular season with a 5-5 conference record. The Pride won three straight games down the stretch and four of their past five before Friday’s setback.
