Colley tallied 11 points on six goals and five assists in the Quakers’ 1-1 week. She scored a career-best 10 points, second-highest in school history, in Guilford’s 21-9 win over Randolph College Apr. 21. The 5-6 attacker finished with a career-high six goals and four assists, plus four ground balls and two caused turnovers in the Quakers’ school-record 10th win of the season. Colley also recorded an assist in Guilford’s Apr. 18 road loss to 15th-ranked Washington and Lee University.

Colley set Guilford’s season records for points (72) and assists (28) in the Randolph game. She broke Tina Beahan’s ’97 points standard (69) set in 1996 and Mary Hutchins’ ’08 assists mark (25) set in 2007. Colley ranks fourth in the ODAC in assists averaging 1.60 per game and ninth in points per game (4.13). She has led Guilford’s scorers eight times this year.

Coach Matthew Grosso’s Quakers (10-6, 7-2 ODAC) have won four of their last six games and are enjoying the best season in school history. Guilford will host an ODAC Tournament quarterfinal game this Saturday (4/28). The full tournament pairings and schedule will be announced upon conclusion of the regular season.

The Student-Athlete of the Week Award is presented by Guilford’s SAAC, which is comprised of representatives from each of the school’s 20 varsity teams. The group meets regularly to discuss the state of Guilford Athletics and seeks to build community among Guilford’s student-athletes and non-student-athletes. Recent Guilford SAAC activities include cancer awareness promotions, canned-food drives, volunteer assistance with the North Carolina Special Olympics and tutoring at the New Garden Friends School.
