• Elon will look to complete the season series sweep of UNC Wilmington on Wednesday night as the Phoenix will play the first of its final three road games of year. The maroon and gold defeated the Seahawks 5-4 at Latham Park earlier this season.
• The Phoenix will then return to Latham Park for a key SoCon series with UNCG this weekend. Elon is 26-12 all-time against the Spartans.
• Following Sunday’s game with UNCG, the Phoenix will participate in BaseBald, a fundraising event for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation which raises money to fight childhood cancers. Elon at Longwood (DH), Wednesday, April 25, at 4 p.m., Farmville, Va.

• Elon defeated NC State last Wednesday for the first time since 2005 by a score of 7-1. Carleigh Nester hit a grand slam to account for four of the runs, while Tomeka Watson’s two-run bomb scored another two.
• The Phoenix will look to get back on track this week with games at Longwood and Georgia Southern after getting swept at Western Carolina over the weekend.
• The last time the maroon and gold played the Lancers was in 2010 when Longwood took the doubleheader victory. The Phoenix owns the all-time series, 10-3. Elon won the regular-season series against the Golden Eagles last year, 2-1, at East Field.

Women’s Track and Field
Elon at Radford Invitational, Friday – Saturday, April 27 – 28, Radford, Va.

• Elon finished fifth at the 2012 Southern Conference Outdoor Championships over the weekend with a point total of 102.
• Amy Salek won the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.66, while also claiming second as part of the 4×400-meter relay team.
• The Phoenix left the championships with a total of 17 all-conference performances and 15 top-five finishes.
