  1. A lot of people have been asking that question this week about the PT 4-A at Ragsdale…..Great place to hold/see game, but with East Fossyth as the #1 seed you would think the tourney would be at there place…..I’m sure there is a good explanation out there and Mike Ellis from the Jamestown News might just have it for us….

SEG should be going with Dallas Newton tonight….Super job by Jacobelli back on Wednesday and Newton would be up next in the rotation….Newton’s hitting game was A-plus back on Wednesday night….Not sure who Southern Alamance will bring, but they have a strong team and they are always very tough at this time of year…..Sappelt, Moize, Edwards…..They have some real good ones…..

  2. I may be wrong but I believe the PT-4A rotates locations for the tourney and this just happened to be Ragsdale’s year to host. Unfortunate it happened this year when the Tigers didn’t advance.

  3. That sounds like a good call….Sometimes they do it that same with basketball….The old rotational plan….

  4. Mark has it right. Location for the last two rounds of the tournament are pre-determined. Just means that Coach Maness gets the privilege of preparing the field for his conference brethern without having to be in uniform. Field is in great shape and Donnie does a lot of work in maintaining it so it will be good to go tonight.

Should be two great games with some good pitching since the first round went according to the seeding as the top four teams will meet tonight.

  5. TAC 2-A Conference semi-finals today. Caldwell plays Carolina Friends at 3:30 and Westchester plays Trinity School of Durham at 5:30. Both games are at Westchester.

  6. Southern Alamance 8 8 1
    SEG 0 3 3

Southern Alamance is the Metro Conference Tourney Champions

  7. All unoffical numbers and names but I believe:
    WP: Wolfe
    LP: Newton

SA started the game with three runs in the first and didn’t let up. I’m thinking there were more errors for SEG than the numbers that showed up on the scoreboard but in any case SA hit the ball hard tonight. A bright spot for SEG was Will Greene in right field who threw out 2 men at the plate and one trying to stretch a single into a double. SEG had an off night and SA was red hot. SA seems ready to go for the playoffs. SEG has the talent but will need to get it back together before the playoffs.
