Greensboro National Adult Baseball Association(NABA) opener from Monday night:Yankees top the Braves

The Greensboro National Adult Baseball Association’s season opening game
was last night between the Greensboro Yankees and the Greensboro Braves
with the Yankees prevailing 12-2 in front of a large contingent of fans.

The Yankees were led in hitting by Joe McIntyre and Mitch Summers as
they combined for five RBIs with two doubles.

Marcel Joffe of the Yankees tossed the initial five innings and compiled
eight strikeouts while only allowing two runs. Reece Kearns tossed the
scoreless sixth and seventh innings and Kenny Graham, Jr. closed out the
game for the Yankees.

There were numerous outstanding plays by both teams.

  1. Andy, what do you know about this league? Do the players come from, high school, colleges, older player that previously played collegiately? Is this a start up league?

It is a very good leauge and they have a good mix of players with former college, high school and even a few former pros…..They play a good brand of ball and it is very well run and organized…..I see Reece Kearns a former Whirlie is in the league…..They have been around for awhile and hit that link above to learn more….Enad Haddad runs the league and he does a real good job……If you need more info just let me know…..This league has good mix of players….
