Legal dispute with MASN(Mid-Atlantic Sports Network) has now gone on for more than seven years

When Josh Hamilton hit four home runs in one game against the Baltimore Orioles earlier this month, cable customers in his own hometown couldn’t watch the game because of a legal dispute that is now more than seven years old.

MASN, the network which carries the Orioles and Washington Nationals, has the Major League Baseball rights to the Triangle market. Time Warner Cable, meanwhile, has refused to carry MASN on basic cable, sparking a legal battle that reached the U.S. Court of Appeals this spring.
