Good game out at Eastern Guilford tonight. Ragsdale trailed 3 – 2 going to
the seventh inning and rallied for 5 runs with two outs and held on to
record the 7 – 4 win.

Dudley’s Xavier Burch went the distance on the mound and going to the
seventh he had given up 2 hits and two runs and had only thrown 62 pitches.
An error on the shortstop on a hard hit ball off the bat of Matt Horkey got
the leadoff batter on base. A sacrifice bunt and a ground out advanced
Horkey to third with two outs and Connor Burrows came off the bench to pinch
hit. After falling behind 0-2, Burrows came through with a single to right
center that drove in Horkey with the tying run. Back to back pinch hit
singles off the bats of Kennan Lynn and Will Tice scored another run and Ben
Horkey drove in two more with a single. When the dust had settled, Ragsdale
1 had scored 5 runs on 4 hits and there were two Dudley errors.

Kennan Lynn got the start for Ragsdale 1 and went 3 2/3 giving up 6 hits and
3 runs while striking out 4. Tim Ambrose picked up the win in relief, going
3 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, but after allowing the run in the
bottom of the seventh and loading the bases with two outs, Matt Horkey came
in and picked up the save, striking out the final batter.

For Dudley Chase Williamson went 3 for 4 at the plate. Greg White was 2 for
2 with a double and a triple and had 2 RBI’s. M. Sowell was 2 for 4 with an
RBI.

With the win, Ragsdale 1 improves to 3 – 0 on the season.
