Wyndham Championship’s “Charity of Choice” awareness campaign begins it’s on-line voting today

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Online voting is now available for the
Wyndham Championship’s “Charity of Choice” awareness campaign, it was
announced today. Wyndham Worldwide, one of the world’s largest
hospitality companies, announced their commitment to supporting local
Piedmont Triad charitable organizations dedicated to improving the lives of
children through this year’s Wyndham Championship “Charity of Choice”
awareness campaign during the tournament media day on June 28. Wyndham’s
philanthropic program, Wishes by Wyndham, is the official charity of the
Wyndham Championship and supports numerous local non-profit organizations
including Victory Junction, The First Tee of the Triad and Brenner
Children’s Hospital.

“The Wyndham Championship gives us a national platform to support the
efforts of so many outstanding organizations as part of our commitment to
enhance the quality of life in communities around the world,” said Stephen
P. Holmes, chairman and CEO, Wyndham Worldwide. “We are thrilled to host the
“Charity of Choice” awareness campaign again during this year’s tournament.”

Starting today, fans can visit www.facebook.com/WyndhamWorldwide or
www.wyndhamchampionship.com to vote for their favorite charity; voting will
be available through July 25. During the week of July 30, 2012, the 10
charitable organizations with the most online votes will be named finalists
and will be eligible for on-site voting at Sedgefield Country Club during
the Wyndham Championship. The charity garnering the most votes during the
tournament will receive a $100,000 donation courtesy of Wishes by Wyndham,
the philanthropic arm of title sponsor Wyndham Worldwide, following the
conclusion of the Wyndham Championship on Sunday, Aug. 19.

Last year, The First Tee of the Triad won the fan vote and the $100,000
donation and quickly made a donation to each of the other top-five
finishers. Because it won last year, The First Tee of the Triad is not
eligible for this program for five years. The list of eligible charities
