Former Spartan Named New Assistant Baseball Coach at Caldwell Academy

Everett Hancock will be joining the Caldwell baseball staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming season.

Hancock graduated from Havelock high school in 1998. He led the Rams to a 3-A state title as a senior. He still holds several pitching records including ERA in a season (0.81), Wins in a season (14) and Strikeouts in season (158).

Hancock was a 4-year pitcher (1999-2002) at UNC-Greensboro under Mike Gaski. The southpaw was drafted 2002 in the 28th round by the Detroit Tigers.

Hancock was a six year (2004-2010) assistant coach at Ragsdale High School. Helped guide the Tigers to the 2006 3A state baseball championship series. He also served as assistant coach at Forsyth Country Day in 2011 when the Furies won the NCISAA State Championship. He was promoted to head coach at Forsyth Country Day in 2012.
