Tracy Gathings, Jr.
Tracy…Ben L. Smith High…6-5, 206…forward…coached by Brian Jones…as senior, averaged 20.2 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals…named NCPreps 4A All-State, All-Conference, All-Area, team MVP…as junior, averaged 19.7 points, 8 rebounds…named All-Area, All-Conference, team MVP…signed an athletic grant-in-aid with Wingate University…undecided about major…wants to pursue a career in the engineering field…his mother, Natalie Trapp, is his role model…favorite college athlete is Thomas Robinson…favorite pro athlete is Kobe Bryant…says “I feel honored and blessed to be selected for such a prestigious event. I expect to gain more knowledge of how the game is played.”

Zéna Lovette
Zéna…Southwest Guilford High…5-7…guard…coached by Jessica Bryan…as senior, averaged 16.1 points, 3.3 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 steals…named AP All-State, NCPreps All-State, All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year, All-District Player of the Year, State Regional All-Tournament, News and Record Player of the Year, team MVP…as junior, averaged 18.2 points, 3.7 assists, 6.2 rebounds, 4.2 steals…named AP All-State, All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year, All-District, News and Record All-Area, regional MVP, state championship MVP, team MVP…1,000 + point Club…as sophomore, averaged 14.8 points, 3 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 3.4 steals…named All-Conference, News and Record All-Area, team MVP…signed an athletic grant-in-aid with Campbell University where she will major in graphic design…wants to pursue a career in the WNBA…her sister Quierra Lovette is her role model…favorite college athlete is Skylar Diggins…favorite pro athlete is Derrick Rose…says “It’s exciting to be a part of the all-star games.   1. Congratulations to both Tracey and Zena. I’m especially proud of Tracey having followed him throughout his career at Smith. We will miss you this year but may you have continued success at Wingate.
