Wyndham Championships Gives Back

During a week where the world is watching some of the best PGA golfers compete, Wyndham Worldwide is watching out for children in the local area. The 73rd annual Wyndham Championships is hosting over 200 golfers from August 13-19 and celebrating local Greensboro, N.C. charities through its Charities of Choice awareness campaign.

To help enrich the lives of disadvantaged children in the community, one of ten finalist Piedmont Triad charitable organizations will receive a $100,000 donation from the Wishes by Wyndham foundation. Voting will take place Monday – Wednesday of the tournament week.

In an effort to make it possible for everyone in the community to experience a PGA TOUR event, free admission before noon for the first three days of tournament week is offered. To celebrate those who give back to the local community, members of the Military, Piedmont Triad teachers and first responders will also be admitted free of charge to the 2012 Wyndham Championship.
