Wyndham Championship Final Round Suspended Until 9 a.m. Monday

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The final round of the 73rd annual Wyndham Championship has been suspended until 9 a.m. tomorrow due to persistent heavy afternoon rainfall, it was announced this evening. The conclusion of the tournament will be televised live on the Golf Channel. This will be just the fourth time in tournament history, and first time since 1983, that the tournament will conclude beyond Sunday.

Fans with a ticket from Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday’s round will be admitted to the conclusion of the final round free of charge. Fans who would like to attend the tournament but do not have a ticket can purchase a ticket at the main entrance for $15. Fans with tickets from any hospitality venue on the golf course will all be admitted to the hospitality venues on the 18th green. No other hospitality venues will be available.
The Wyndham Championship will provide free parking at the Greensboro Coliseum and the premier public parking lots located at the intersection of High Point Road and Merritt Drive. Parking lot shuttles will begin at 7 a.m.

The final pairing of Sergio Garcia and Bud Cauley was playing the par five fifth hole when play was suspended at 3:10 p.m. Thirty-eight golfers have yet to complete their final round, and 15 golfers are within four strokes of Garcia’s lead.

Contested annually on the Donald Ross-designed course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., the Wyndham Championship was founded in 1938 and is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR.
