High Point Christian Cougars move to (2-0) with shutout win over Wheatmore on Friday night

The High Point Christian Cougars are off to a great start here in 2012.

Several players shined on Friday night, as HPCA beat the Wheatmore Warriors 27 to 0…..

Wheatmore had a bad snap on a punt and HPCA stopped them on the 10 yd. line. Then Brica Patrick scored on a 5 yd pass play. The halftime score was 7 to 0, HPCA…..

On the opening kick of second half freshman Jeffrey Wall returned the kick for an 80
yd TD. Then Quentin Chavis threw a 72 yd pass to Rick Mack for the score to make it
20 to 0. Wheatmore was driving and threw a pass that was picked off by Malik Streater
who took it back for a 95 yd TD. Quentin Chavis ended the night 10 for 17 154 yds
and 1 TD.

HPCA begins the season 2 and 0 and this is by far, the best start in High Point Christian Academy football history…..History is being made this season in High Point over at the Green Street Baptist Church, just off of Phillips Avenue…..

  1. Wheatmore had 5 of their top players suspended for this game but have not heard why or what they did.
