ELON, N.C. – The Elon softball team is inviting alumni, fans, family and friends to its second annual Alumni Breakfast Blast on Saturday, Oct. 20. The event is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. with the breakfast and the homerun derby followed by the slow pitch game at 10 a.m. with all the events hosted at East Field.
“We’re excited to host our second annual Breakfast Blast,” said Elon head coach Kathy Bocock. “We had a good turnout last year for the inaugural event and are hoping for even a bigger Breakfast Blast this year.”
Participation in the home run derby is free of charge with the top three winners receiving a prize. All participants will also receive an Elon softball alumni t-shirt. Breakfast is $5 per person with children under five eating for free.
Fans will then be treated to a game of slow pitch softball featuring past players of the diamond who wore the maroon and gold.
“This event is a way for the coaching staff and current players to get to know the softball alumni that helped build this program.”
