GC Men’s Soccer Ties Maryville 0-0

The Pride men’s soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Maryville at home on Sunday afternoon.

Neither team was able to find much momentum as the defenses held steady for most of the day. The game was nearly even in shots with the Scots holding a 17-13 advantage.

Maryville, however, did place 12 shots on goal compared to four for Greensboro. Goalkeeper Manbi Nyepon had a stellar game in goal, turning away all 12 attempts that the Scots fired at him.

Drew Clukey led the team with five total shots, including two on goal. Earl Floyd and Logan Paussa also contributed one shot on goal apiece.

With the tie, The Pride move to 8-3-3 on the season and 3-1-3 in the conference.
