College Women’s Swimming Results – Sweet Briar 83, Guilford 10; Emory & Henry 67, Guilford 21

SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Guilford College’s women’s swimming team dropped a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) decisions Saturday at a double-dual meet hosted by Sweet Briar College. The host Vixens downed the Quakers, 83-10, and Emory & Henry College downed Guilford, 67-21.

The Quakers’ 200-meter medley relay team placed third in a time of two minutes, 30.75 seconds, nearly two seconds faster than the team’s time in the same event in a double-dual meet Nov. 3. Guilford’s 200 freestyle relay squad took third in 2:36.15 thanks to Morgan McKinnon’s leadoff split that was nearly eight seconds faster than her leg in the same race Nov. 3.

Other highlights include Kendra Medina’s fourth-place finish in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:20.78, which is Guilford’s second-fastest time in the event in school history. McKinnon also had a fourth-place time (1:20.89) in the 100 freestyle.

The Quakers (0-4, 0-4 ODAC) return to the pool Dec. 1-2 at the Randolph-Macon Invitational in Richmond, Va.
