Girls Varisty: S Alamance – 56, NW Guilford 43. A 3 point game after 3 quarters; then S Alamance pulled away in the 4th. Southern led by Burnett and Boggs. NW Guilford had strong play from Burrell and Staunton in the backcourt. Southern Alamance is is a quality team. NW Guilford’s youth in the front court may take some time to mature this season.
Varsity Boys – Eastern Guilford beats Southeast Guilford by 18 points @ Southeast (not sure score but I think it was 70-52). Eastern was up by 20plus until they put subs in.
JV boys Eastern Guilford beat Southeast Guilford @ Eastern 87-41. Andrew Robinson & Jiare Porter had 18 points each.
Both Eastern girls teams lost.
Saw the Day School play last night and it was fun. Those guys play so hard and are very talented to boot. Day School subbed alot and still got over the century mark. Reggie’s little brother got to play the last 5 minutes and had a dunk along with 4 ot 5 points. The kid is only in the 7th grade. As I look down the road they will be challenged and may lose a couple of games, but they are fun to watch. Their coaching staff has to be congratulated on the job they do preparing these kids game after game and getting them to play hard. I was surprised that they have a lot of talent on the bench.

7th grade? How old is this kid? I was 11 years old in the 7th grade.
Will Dillard is already a young man/ child. He prolly re- class already and will have 5 more years of V ball after this year. That’s scary! Great kid!
NGFS played a tough Greensboro Day team and the Bears will get better real quick when they get Smart back and if they get that kid from Georgia????
‘Little Will’ is a good kid and nobody has studied the game more over their early years than he has….He has been watching closely and waiting for his turn for a long time and you just had to know that he would be ready….Many young kids go to the high school games and goof off and don’t pay attention, but Will was learning by watching, or at least that is my opinion…I haven’t been wrong yet today, but it might be my turn…
Jason Capel started for Greenboro Day as an 8th grader and he was one of their top players that year….He was only there one year and then it was on to Norfolk(ODU) with his dad Jeff Sr., when Sr. took over at Old Dominion….
