Bishop McGuinness Lady Villains Basketball in West Coast Jamboree

The Bishop McGuinness Lady Villains(Kernersville, N.C.) will compete in, what may be, the most prestigious high school girls basketball jamboree in the country next month, the “West Coast Jamboree” in San Francisco, CA! The team will compete in the 16-team “Platinum Division” tournament, which features some of the best teams from around the country.

The tournament will take place from December 27-29 with the final day of games, including the championship game, held on December 31. All games will be played at Deer Valley High School in Antioch, CA.

The Villains first round game will be against the Berkeley Yellow Jackets on December 27th at 5pm PST. The Yellow Jackets were the state runners up in the top division of California High School basketball. The team finished last season 27-3 and ranked in the top 50 nationally.

9:30 Hanford vs. Narbonne
11 Sacramento vs. Kinkaid TX
12:30 Heritage vs. View Park
2 Carondelet vs. Pleasant Grove
3:30 Nazareth NY vs. Monterey Trail
5 Berkeley vs. Bishop McGuinness
6:30 pm Deer Valley vs. University
8 pm Chaminade vs. Sheldon

  1. I don’t think their radio station can do the trip to San Francisco for the girls I imagine due to the expense and long trip, but they will be heading to Atlanta, GA to broadcast the Bishop Boys’ Basketball Christmas Tournament.

  2. That first game will be a tough one as I think Berkley is one of the top 3 high school girls’ teams in California, or at least they were last year.
