Ragsdale travelled to Wentworth on Friday night to take on the Cougars from Rockingham County. Both teams had trouble scoring at the start of the game with the Tigers’ James Stepp getting the game’s first basket after almost three minutes had elapsed. Joe Bryant scored on a fast break basket on a perfect pass from Stepp 30 seconds later and the Tigers were off and running, never trailing in the game before going on to record an eight point win, 53 – 45,

Ragsdale led by as many as eight points in the second quarter and as many as 13 in the third before leading by 38 – 30 heading to the final quarter. Rockingham County battled hard in the fourth, getting two treys from Cameron Slayton and one from Seth Brooks, the latter getting them to within five points at 50 – 45 with less than a minute remaining. Khalil Whitaker closed out the scoring for Ragsdale by hitting one of two foul shots and then getting a long pass from Daniel Kanakanui and converting it into a layup to wrap up the win.

James Stepp led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points. Khalil Whitaker and Joseph Bryant were also in double figures as each scored 11 points. Dylan Willis and Daniel Kanakanui each had 7 rebounds for Ragsdale.

The Cougars Seth Brooks led all scorers with 22 points.
