For the first time since the NCISAA Top Five was initiated in 2003 the Greensboro Day School Varsity Girls’ Basketball team has laid claim to the number one spot!!
GDS slides into the number one position after previous polesitter Providence Day fell to Carolina Day at home 46-36 this past Friday night, a team Greensboro Day defeated 57-50 back on November 17.
Greensboro Day’s strong point this season may be their depth as they can go 8-9 deep on the bench without a letup. Seniors Ronata Rogers and Gabrielle Merritt have been team leaders thus far.
